Voice assistant (BYOK model)

Connect Vapi keys, choose models, configure accents, and enable Bring Your Own Key unlimited voice calls.

Tinfiz integrates directly with Vapi (vapi.ai) to power high-performance voice agents. By default, Tinfiz operates on a Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) model, ensuring transparent costs.

Understanding Bring Your Own Key (BYOK)

With BYOK, you connect your personal Vapi workspace directly. Calling overages do not go through Tinfiz. Instead, Vapi bills you directly for your actual voice seconds. Tinfiz provides clean sync parameters for assistant creation, call logs, transcripts, summaries, and agent takeover metrics.

1. Syncing Vapi credentials

Steps
  1. 1Log in to your Vapi dashboard (dashboard.vapi.ai).
  2. 2Navigate to the Keys tab in the Vapi sidebar.
  3. 3Copy the Vapi Private Key (API Key) and Vapi Public Key.
  4. 4In the Tinfiz dashboard, go to Channels > Voice Assistant.
  5. 5Paste the Private and Public Keys into the Vapi connection inputs, and click Connect Vapi.

2. Deploying a Voice Assistant

Steps
  1. 1Once connected, click Create Assistant in the Voice Settings panel.
  2. 2Select a language model: GPT-4o Mini (recommended for fast voice synthesis), GPT-4o, or GPT-4 Turbo.
  3. 3Choose a voice from our OpenAI catalogue (e.g. Alloy, Nova, Echo, Onyx). Select accents (e.g. American, British).
  4. 4Configure the system prompt instructing the voice bot on support boundaries.
  5. 5Save the assistant. The configuration will immediately sync to your Vapi dashboard.
Call Logs & Hand-off

All calls generate automatic transcripts and issue summaries inside the customer CRM. If the voice bot detects high customer frustration or a manual hand-off query, it sends a high-priority "AI handoff request" browser notification to your dashboard team.
