Email channel setup

Configure Resend API keys, verify sender domains, and set up webhook forwarding for emails.

Integrate your professional email boxes (like support@yourcompany.com) with the Tinfiz workspace. Outbound emails are sent through Resend, while inbound emails are piped in via secure webhooks.

1. Outbound configuration (Sending emails)

Tinfiz uses Resend as its primary outbound mailing engine. To send replies from your dashboard:

Steps
  1. 1Create a free or paid account at Resend (resend.com).
  2. 2Verify your business domain under DNS Settings in Resend (adding SPF and DKIM records).
  3. 3Navigate to API Keys in the Resend dashboard and generate a new key (e.g. re_xxxxxx).
  4. 4In the Tinfiz dashboard, go to Channels > Email Settings.
  5. 5Paste the key in the "Resend API Key" input field.
  6. 6Save the settings. The system masks this key on save for security.

2. Inbound configuration (Receiving emails)

To route incoming customer emails to your Tinfiz inbox, you must tell Resend to forward messages to Tinfiz:

Steps
  1. 1In your Tinfiz Channels > Email dashboard, locate the auto-generated Webhook URL.
  2. 2Copy this Webhook URL.
  3. 3Log in to Resend, navigate to Webhooks, and click Add Webhook.
  4. 4Paste the Tinfiz Webhook URL into the Endpoint URL field.
  5. 5Select the "email.received" event checkbox. This ensures Resend notifies Tinfiz whenever a new email lands.
  6. 6Click Create. Resend will generate a Webhook Signing Secret.
  7. 7Copy the Webhook Signing Secret (starts with whsec_).
  8. 8Go back to Tinfiz, paste the secret into the "Resend Webhook Signing Secret" field, and save.
SMTP Fallback

Tinfiz supports SMTP credentials (host, port, username, password) for custom outbound setups, but Resend is the recommended provider for performance and log tracking.
